Pat Sullivan has dedicated his career to inspiring people, helping them to discover and capitalize on their personal strengths.
His motivational and public speaking resume includes engagements at IBM and Nike, Notre Dame’s “Play Like a Champion” program, as well as Chicago-area businesses and professional associations. He also enjoys bringing his messages on leadership and motivation to companies and organizations in Wisconsin, Indiana and throughout Illinois.
In more than four decades of collegiate and high school coaching, he touched thousands of lives and impacted a new generation of leaders who today succeed in a wide range of business and civic capacities.
From 1986-2009, Pat directed basketball camps and clinics in Greece, Belgium, Austria, and Ireland. He also spoke at the Greek National Basketball Coaches Clinic in 2001.
In 2010, Pat retired after 34 years as a teacher and men’s basketball coach at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Ill. Armed with more than 500 victories at USF, Pat led his team to first- or second-place finishes in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) 15 times in an 18-year period and advanced to the NAIA National Tournament in 1994 and 1996. His proudest accomplishment at St. Francis is having seen 172 of his 176 basketball-playing seniors graduate. Prior to St. Francis, Pat taught and coached 10 years at Providence High School (New Lenox, IL). Combined, his accomplishments at St. Francis and Providence included 602 head coaching career wins. He has been inducted into eight different halls of fame and was named coach of the year on multiple occasions from the CCAC, NAIA District 20, NAIA Region IV and the National Catholic Basketball Tournament.
